辽宁省 recently launched 18 distinctive non-heritage tourism routes, offering travelers a unique opportunity to explore and experience traditional arts and customs. These routes are designed to promote the integration of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) with tourism, creating a memorable journey through China's rich cultural landscape.

The newly introduced routes include four provincial classic itineraries:

  • "Hai Shan Xiang Yi Wen Hua Zhen Qiang" – Liaoxi Non-heritage Route
  • "Hai Lu Jiao Yang Wenhua Fei Xuan" – Liaoning Coastal Non-heritage Route
  • "Guan Dong Qian Xun Hua Jiang Chuan Cheng" – Central Liaoning Non-heritage Route
  • "Shan He Sheng Jing Gu Yu Xin Sheng" – Liaodong Non-heritage Route

Additionally, there are 11 regional特色routes and three non-heritage study travel routes:

  • "Yi Fang Ji Yi Yi Cheng Yao Huo" – Shenyang Non-heritage Route
  • "Wen Ming Tan Yuan Di Mei Qi Yuan" – Civilization Exploration Route
  • "Chang Cheng Gu Yun Wenhua Chuan Zhang" – Great Wall Cultural Route
  • "Shan Hai Jian Xin Liao Xi Zou Lang" – Liaoxi Corridor Route

The Liaoxi Non-heritage Route is particularly notable for its rich historical and cultural heritage. It features three main themes:

  • Red Hill Culture: Connecting key sites like the Chao Yang Niu He Liang Relics and Ling Yuan Shadow Puppetry Experience Base, offering a historical journey through ancient civilization.
  • National Style: Linking Xingcheng Ancient City with Jinzhou Medical Wuli Mountain Manchu Folk Customs and Fuxin Mongolian Cuisine, providing an ethnic cultural experience.
  • Ecological Culture: Connecting Panjin Wetland Culture and Jinzhou Zhenshan Culture for an ecological tourism adventure.

The Shenyang Non-heritage Route offers a unique urban cultural experience. It connects major cultural landmarks such as the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Yuan Dian Square, and Forbidden City Antiquities Market. Along this route, visitors can learn traditional crafts like:

  • Hu Kuai Zhang Pen-Making
  • Shenyang Lantern Art
  • San He Hao Traditional Suona Music
  • Shenyang Manchu Traditional Clothing Techniques

These routes provide an immersive way to engage with China's intangible cultural heritage, blending historical exploration with modern tourism.
